We are big believers in farmers helping farmers! We are so fortunate to collaborate with these incredible farmers!
Birdsong Farm
We met Jeremy of Birdsong Farm when we both vended at the 2025 Royalton Farmers Market. We traded veggies and value added goods and got to talking about our farm dreams. We joined a few work parties at Birdsong in fall 2025, lent hands in winter 2026, and our collaboration began to take shape.
We moved to Birdsong Farm in spring 2026 and hope to co-farm here for many years to come!
This year, our collaboration looks like:
- helping with infrastructure build out (power/water to high tunnels)
- helping with Birdsong farm chores
- sending our meats, gf baked goods and value-added canned goods to farmers markets with Birdsong
- raising our turkeys on Birdsong pastures
- pruning berries and apple trees
- planting pasture trees
Next year, we hope to also sugar and raise pigs!
Shepherd Moon Farm
Inspired by a fantastic Greek yogurt from a corner store near where Matt lived in MA, we dream of someday offering sheepsmilk yogurt, cheese and frozen yogurt.
We connected with Dani of Shepherd Moon Farm in summer 2025 and started lending hands and learning more about sheep dairy.
In winter 2026, we purchased bred grassfed dairy ewes in a collaborative agreement with Shepherd Moon Farm. The sheep all live at Shepherd Moon. We help with milking, shearing, hoof trims, farm projects and farmsitting and get to learn, refine our sheep’s milk yogurt recipe and support Dani’s farm dreams at the same time.
Wild Earth Farm
We met Katie and Ben at a farm planning workshop in early spring 2025 and shared meals, ideas, and dreams. We lent hands after the arrival of their baby in fall 2025 and traded our turkey for their cow milk to supplement feed for the hungry triplet lambs at Shepherd Moon Farm.
Matt cooked a delicious meal with meat and produce from Wild Earth, Birdsong and Make Do Farms for a pasture walk event at Wild Earth. We repurposed some unwanted wine fridges into produce and raw milk fridges for the Wild Earth farmstand.
Farming at a small scale is only possible with help from our community, neighbors, friends and family. We look forward to deepening and broadening our collaborations, hosting and attending more work parties, and sharing more meals in the years to come!
